Privacy is essential for a pool, especially when space allows for creative solutions. In this small backyard, we used Dawyck Gold Columnar Beech trees and ivy vines climbing the neighbour’s garage to add vertical greenery and create a secluded oasis. Along the pool’s edge, vibrant white/pink hydrangeas bloom from summer through fall, while All Gold Japanese Forest Grass adds a vibrant touch of yellow/green color and texture.

To complement the lush plantings, we chose Unilock Town Hall cobblestone pavers in a warm red and brown blend. These were used around the pool and throughout the lounging patio, adding both charm and functionality to the space.

Ample low-voltage lighting transforms this backyard into an enchanting evening retreat. Path lights softly illuminate walkways, while spotlights highlight the trees with elegant uplighting. Subtle strip lights under the step leading to the pool area add a modern touch, enhancing both safety and ambiance after sunset.
